The AI Hackathon at St. Vincent Pallotti College of Engineering & Technology (SVPCET), Nagpur, brought together over 300 students to explore innovative, AI-powered solutions. Mr. Shyam Sekar S, Founder & CEO of Startup Xperts, participated as a Jury Member and Speaker, engaging with students and evaluating their ideas after two levels of shortlisting.
The event offered an opportunity to understand how young innovators approached problem-solving and explored new possibilities through AI. Their enthusiasm, curiosity, and willingness to experiment stood out throughout the interactions.
Drawing on over two decades of experience in business growth and entrepreneurial mentoring, Mr. Shyam Sekar S emphasised that a good idea becomes valuable when it solves a real problem. While AI serves as a powerful enabler, clear thinking, creativity, and the ability to execute remain equally important in turning ideas into practical solutions.
The experience highlighted the importance of engaging with young talent and encouraging students to translate their ideas into meaningful real-world applications.
Appreciation was extended to fellow Jury Member Sundaram Seshadri, Nirmaan Organization, Redington Foundation, and Microsoft for supporting the initiative. Special thanks were also extended to Dr. Fr. Paul Chandrankunnel SAC, Director, and Dr. Prashant B. Maheshwary, Principal of SVPCET, for making the experience memorable.
The hackathon showcased the potential of young innovators to combine bold ideas with AI and create solutions for real-world challenges.
